You can’t freeze life, but you can keep a perfect moment (and memory) from running away.
Traditional with a twist! Fun, well-composed photos that don’t try too hard.
Your best photos? The ones where you’ll look great twenty years from now. Not stuffy, no gimmicks, just natural. The key to that is you. I bring a good lens and a creative eye.
My experience is more than just photographing thousands of people. As a very young woman I worked in professional film labs. I spent every day with photographers and lab experts who taught me that what happens before the camera click is the foundation for everything else.
The perfect shot is always about the people in the picture. I bring out bring personality, from babies to bankers to brides, and am ready at the right moment with the right set-up. The perfect shot is never about too much equipment or too many pictures. Careful “post-production” editing makes a great picture even better, and professional printing is far superior to non-professional options, but it all starts with the right shot.
A real studio and on-location are where I work. I’m in the heart of Tryon, a short ride from Spartanburg, Greenville, or Asheville, in the middle of restaurants, art galleries, and shops. My street-front building has great lighting, dedicated studio space, and gallery space for monthly art exhibits. I know many wonderful locations for outdoor shoots all over the region.
In addition to people and events, my work includes corporate, buildings, horses and pets, websites, real estate, and magazines. I often work in the Upstate and western North Carolina. I do weddings in various states, overseas documentary work, and once spent a summer traveling with Thomas the Tank Engine. My artistic shoots are in the US and numerous countries.
